Pet Stain and Odour Treatments

Here at The Carpet Cleaners North West, all of our technicians are fully trained and qualified in the science of treating and removing urine stains and other tricky to remove stains. 

If you have pets who may have urinated on your carpets and you are wanting these professionally cleaned, then look no further. 

Firstly, our technicians will arrive at your property to have a look and a chat with you to understand exactly what you are wanting from the clean. They will ask you a few questions, including whether or not there is likely to be any urine stains or stains anywhere else you may want removing. Our technicians may then use a UV light to identify where the stains may be, (as you may not be able to see these stains with the naked eye), followed by conducting a moisture test on any areas that flag up under the light. If there is any moisture there, these stains will need flushing out from the backing of the carpet. Whereas, if there is no moisture present, these stains can be spot cleaned and extracted as normal. 

Urine stains require a specialist treatment in order to neutralise them. Here at The Carpet Cleaners North West, we use a specially formulated acidic oxidising chemical to neutralise the urine stains to avoid stains coming back, any nasty odours and a build up of harmful bacteria. When looking at your carpets, there may not be much of a stain (if there is any),but with pet urine these stains tend to soak through the carpet backing to the carpet pads or underlay and un professional removal of these stains can lead to unpleasant, strong urine smells over time.
